Overview

Bachelor of Accounting is a program that focuses on the principles of accounting and other functional areas of business administration. The program structure provides an introduction to financial accounting and management, finance as well as business law and statistics, allowing students to develop skills that are fundamental to an organization.

Program Entry Requirements

You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Bachelor's Programme:

  • Pass MUET Band 2; AND
  • Pass STPM with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any two (2) subjects and credits in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Pass in STAM with a minimum grade Jayyid and credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Diploma in Accounting / Matriculation / Foundation or its equivalent; with a minimum CGPA 2.50, and credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM; OR
  • Pass BTEC Level 4 & 5 with credit in 3 subjects at SPM level including Mathematics and pass in English; OR
  • Other qualifications that are recognized by the Malaysian government

*Note: Mathematic credit terms at SPM level for candidates (ii), (iii) and (v) can be exempted, if the qualifications comprise of a mathematic subject and the achievement is equivalent to / more than the credit requirement of the subject at SPM level.

Applicants into the Bachelor’s programs (level 6, MQF) through APEL, must be a Malaysian citizen aged more than 21 years of age in the year of application with relevant work experience/ prior experiential learning and passed APEL assessment.
