Photography is able to simultaneously recreate the world of facts, imagination, fiction, and dreams. We encourage our students to express their ideas through the means offered by this creative outlet; we teach them how to use the visual design language of photography with analog- and digital technology tools.
We show our students the right techniques, technological innovations, and enable them to seize the possibilities of this art form confidently. During practical work they will experience working individually or in a team, and learn how to stand their ground in their chosen path, let it be creative photography, fashion photography, or photojournalism. Critical thinking becomes natural for our graduates as well as they express their own and other’s artistic activities verbally in order to join the on-going national and international discourses.

“We live in a dictatorship of images... Imagine that design and its technical tools are slowly becoming available to almost everyone. Millions of photos are taken every second worldwide. This enormous amount of images has totally changed the use of these images, also our attitude towards them. It reflects the undepletable power of photography at the same time. In order to control this kind of power, we have to find the right and most effective ways and tools for image creation. This is what we are going to do here...” Gábor Gerhes Munkácsy Mihály Award-winning Visual Artist, Teacher of Photography
