Companies all over the world are currently concentrating on the digitalization of their internal processes and procedures, services, and customer relationships. Dealing with and analyzing data, re-organizing processes, and transforming and implementing digital services are the most promising developments for future professionals. The "Management of Business Digitalisation" Bachelor program has been specifically designed to meet the high demand of qualified professionals in these fields. "Management of Business Digitalisation" is an interdisciplinary degree program that draws on the fields of business management and computer science. The aim of the program is to impart a broad, cross-sectional qualification in business informatics and business management by applying -on the one hand- the latest scientific methods and -on the other hand-practical-oriented approaches.
The course has been specifically designed to train professionals to increase the efficiency of companies and support the development of new, globally marketable products and (IT) services. The "Management of Business Digitalisation" degree qualifies students for occupational fields where products or system solutions are developed. The course is designed in such a way that after a certain period of professional activity, management and leadership tasks can be assigned to the successful graduate.

Practice-oriented Study
All teaching content is taught according to the latest teaching methods and in the networked application. Since our professors and lecturers come from the industry, they can integrate their experience and their network into their teaching in a particularly practical way. In addition, lectures, case studies, and specialist debates parallel to specialist internships, excursions, and guest lectures are formative elements of the course. In addition to classroom instruction, the acquired specialist knowledge is reflected and applied in self-study, in group work, and accompanying learning (eLearning). The different life and professional backgrounds of the students are seen as an important enrichment.
Course of Study
Management of Business Digitalisation" is an interdisciplinary degree program that draws on the fields of economics and computer science while focusing on the core area of business application informatics. The aim of the degree is to impart a broad, cross-sectional qualification in informatics and business administration by using the latest scientific findings and methods while applying the procedures of practice-oriented teaching. In order to take into account its international scope, the program contains elective modules in business-oriented foreign language studies in either German for non-German speakers, or Russian or Chinese (Mandarin) for German speakers (only one language has to be chosen).
Graduates of the program enter the workforce with a broad methodological competence along with specialist key competencies that enable them to systematically analyze problems occurring in the workplace. Graduates will also be able to design and implement information technology systems in line with the latest technical and scientific advancements, and to integrate them into a system environment. Furthermore, graduates will be in a position to develop new solutions as well as to evaluate existing solutions by considering them from different standards and in situations where requirements are frequently changing.
