Erasmus University Rotterdam – Erasmus University College

At Erasmus University College (EUC) we offer an undergraduate honours programme in Liberal Arts & Sciences (BSc). A small-scale and intensive programme taught entirely in English. Our programme is designed for those who wish to study multiple fields of science and develop an interdisciplinary outlook. You will gain critical, analytical, and communication skills preparing you for an active role in today’s society.

The Liberal Arts & Sciences curriculum starts out broadly exploring multiple academic disciplines, whilst in the second year, you begin specialising with majors in Economics & Business, Humanities, Life Sciences, and Social and Behavioural Sciences. Additionally, you will be able to supplement this with a minor from a range of subjects.

The majors of the Humanities Department from Erasmus University College are rooted in an interdisciplinary Liberal Arts programme that combines Political Philosophy and Critical Theory on the one hand and Cultural analysis (Literature, Arts, Photography, Film, Television, Social Media) on the other hand.

The Humanities (Liberal Arts and Sciences) course curriculum from Erasmus University College is structured around four recurring themes – technology, economy, culture and politics – that are combined in innovative courses rooted in our intellectual heritage. Students thus gain extensive knowledge of and learn to critically reflect on, the historical processes and social developments as well as the institutions and interfaces that have shaped today’s world and continue to shape the 21st century.
