A placement is an opportunity to gain vital industry experience with an employer.

Placements are not compulsory on the three year degree, although you can take a placement during your summer vacation, either paid or unpaid as a volunteer.

If you choose to study over four years the placement is compulsory and takes place after the second year of the course. Typically you’ll work as a paid employee and will receive an additional Diploma in Professional Practice qualification. You will be supported in finding a placement by our Placements Office.

On completion of your degree you can choose to undertake an internship. These vary in length and may be paid or unpaid. Internships are advertised through our Careers and Employment Service.
