In the Bachelor’s study program International Business Management (B.A.) students acquire foundational knowledge and skills in the fields of economics and business management with a global focus. With two integrated semesters abroad in New York, Shanghai or Sydney the program prepares future graduates for jobs in internationally operating companies all over the world. Graduates of the Bachelor’s program will find a broad range of areas in which they can apply their business expertise and skills in working life. The courses are taught in English and cover the areas of Business Administration, Accounting, Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management amongst others. In six semesters students not only gain theoretical knowledge and technical expertise, but develop intercultural and communication skills, as well as motivation, team and leadership skills. The students spend their fourth and fifth semesters abroad. In addition to gaining valuable language and cultural skills during these semesters, students focus on their majors and select between International Management or Market, Consumer and Media Psychology (Shanghai), International Marketing Management or International Human Resource Management or International Finance and Accounting (New York) or International Organizational Psychology and Consulting (Sydney). The course materials, rooted in the best practice and based on the latest research in international business management, enable our students to develop the skills and the tools to leverage the business and intercultural challenges and opportunities of the global marketplace. Upon completion of our International Business Management (B.A.) program, the opportunities for graduates to apply their business expertise and skills are comprehensive. As a frame of reference, graduates tend to proceed into areas such as Business Consultancy, Business Development or Supply Chain Management in international organizations, as well as master programs both in Germany and abroad.
