Design a Successful Future
The graphic design curriculum at Colby-Sawyer mixes the creative process, practice and theory with professional preparation. Opportunities to learn alongside talented faculty and guest designers, a required internship, and exhibition experience in our campus gallery enhance your learning while you develop a dynamic resume and portfolio.
Visits to design studios, print production sites, major galleries and museums get you up close to the design process, while guest lectures and exhibitions bring renowned, emerging and cutting-edge national and international designers and artists right to you.
Partnerships with on- and off-campus clients provide opportunities to impress prospective employers with your growing collection of logos and other visual branding designs.
Your Capstone project, a culmination of your design work at Colby-Sawyer, serves as your professional portfolio when you graduate.

A New Home for the Arts
With its spacious and modern design, the new Center for Art + Design promises to enrich the cultural and artistic experiences of students, alumni, faculty, staff and the larger community. The 16,000 square-foot space, scheduled to open in fall 2017, offers studios, a state-of-the-art black box theater, and a fine art gallery with views of Mount Kearsarge, as well as faculty offices and outdoor art areas.
Express Yourself Outside the Classroom
Connect with others interested in creative expression by joining a student-led club or organization focused on the visual and performing arts. Make your stage debut with the Colby-Sawyer Players, jam out with Vocally Charged a Capella group or exchange big ideas with other artists in the Guild of Artistic Thinkers (GOAT).
