As a graduate, you will be prepared to work efficiently in various areas of territorial planning, research in regional processes, regional forecasting, and territorial development.

You will gain hands-on skills in the field: use of various geographical methods, understanding territorial processes of various origins, as well as a grasp on the methods of geographical expertise.

Field practice

During the course of the training you will join a variety of field practices: in geology, meteorology, geomorphology, hydrology, landscape science, etc. Some of them take place in Specially Protected Areas of the Pskov Region.

During the 2nd year you will go through a long-term field practice in Russia or one of the CIS countries (among the previous destination there are Karelia, the Kola Peninsula, the Urals, southern Ukraine, Crimea, etc.)

Geographers and country experts are in demand due to  the geographical location of the Pskov region, and its border position,  as the region is close to a number of countries of Northern and Eastern  Europe.
