Introduction
Genetics and Bioengineering Program is a special program combining natural sciences and engineering. The principal is to first understand and explore the biological processes at the cellular level, then correlate this knowledge with different fields of engineering, and finally implement solutions in the industry and technology. Genetics and bioengineering is broadly applicable and used in biomedicine, biotechnology as well as other related fields. Bioengineers are primarily oriented to the application of methods and techniques in the field of engineering and problems in biology and medicine.
The primary use of the biotechnology is based on the design and development of new devices, production of new biomaterials, artificial tissues and organs, as well as development and production of pharmaceuticals. Practical work throughout the course is commonly associated with the ongoing projects at Research and Development Center (RDC) or being conducted in other institutions and companies that IUS has an agreement on cooperation.
