My name is Imakor Mohamed and I come from Casablanca, Morocco. I studied for 3 years in Accounting and Management Information Technology, French Branch at FSEGA, University 'Babes Balyai' in Cluj Napoca. One of the best schools in Romania, well known at the European level, welcomes every year students from all over the world. After completing these 3 years, I could have professional experiences in Morocco and Romania. Currently, I study the Management of International Affairs, English Branch at the Master level at the same faculty.

From a cultural point of view, Romania is an experience that allows you to discover another way of life, other customs, enrich your knowledge through visits and meetings with other people. Moreover, living in Romania is a very good way to become familiar with the language through a daily practice. Finally on a personal level, leaving one's habits and going to discover the unknown is a way of pushing one's limits and getting to know each other better.

I would say that it is a truly complete and worthwhile experience.

The French sector was created in accordance with the multicultural program of Babeş-Bolyai University and meets the expectations of the Romanian society, which is part of the European Union. This stream offers students the opportunity to specialize in an application area of economics, accounting (and computer) management so that at the end of three years of study, they will easily find a job in a business. French orientation, even more - they will be coveted by employers in the French-speaking world. These objectives are supported by partnerships with major Francophone universities and institutions, as well as external stakeholders in the professional and academic sphere.

Content and structure

The curriculum of the program meets the requirements of scholarships in the French-speaking world, master's programs in management sciences / research, and internships in institutions and French-speaking partner companies. The core and specialty disciplines, the disciplines to be chosen and the optional disciplines offered aim at the completion of economic reasoning in general and professional in particular. Besides the mastery of theories and professional standards, as well as practical simulations in accounting and computer science, which provide technical expertise, students have the opportunity to acquire solid knowledge of French language through specialty courses, but also to improve the level of another modern language (English, German, Italian, Spanish).

Skills and Abilities

Thanks to the content of the disciplines provided and the methods for evaluating student performance, the program ensures the acquisition of professional and transversal skills nominated by the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). The relevance of the program is similar to the national, European and international occupations specific to the field. In terms of professional skills (for example data processing to draw up financial statements or the use of computer resources), internships and events that bring together students and professors in the sector with French-speaking companies and institutions installed in the region, have a considerable contribution. In terms of transversal skills, we must also mention the activities of the students association of the French sector (AELF).

Employment prospects

Program faculty and ex-students have created associations in academia and the business community. Contacts, agreements and presentations for job offers / internships or other forms of collaboration with companies, support students to materialize their studies. Opportunities in the specific market target trades such as: operational or senior management in accounting, control, finance; accountant, auditor, financial auditor; responsible for the accounting department, management control, internal control (within the framework of a company or in an individual firm which exercises a liberal profession).
