The SRH Hochschule Hamm is currently reviewing the offer of a presence degree program in Social Work.

The official recognition of "social work" as a specialized science was made possible in 2001 by the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) and the Standing Conference (KMK). In many other countries it has long been regarded as an independent scientific discipline, be carried out in numerous research projects.

Social work seeks sound science to solve social problems and to prevent this. Social work therefore is concerned with enabling people in problem situations to develop their ability to organize themselves, but to also make the coexistence with other fellow satisfactory.

Aims of the program

The study "Social Work" is interdisciplinary. This skills needed to lead to a technically sound consulting skills. Object is in particular the development, promotion and deepening of personal skills based on social science, legal and methodological principles and a practical structure of the course.

Admission requirements for the bachelor's degree programs

• General university (Abitur) or - technical college (diploma) or - Subject-specific university entrance qualification or - Master examination - Business Administrator or Fachkaufmann - completing a two-year technical college education - or recognized by law or by the competent authority as equivalent access authorization
  
  Also for vocationally qualified a study is possible.
• For multiple-abiding applicants / inside with vocational training and at least three years of professional activity
