During your studies, you learn how new varieties of plants, fruit or vegetables are created and how to grow them efficiently and safely. You also look at how and where to market your product. This way you get to know the entire horticultural supply chain. That means you end up with a broad understanding that enables you to work in any sector of the horticultural or agricultural industry.

Admission Requirements

The admission requirement for this 4-year Bachelor programme is a secondary school diploma, equivalent to the Dutch HAVO diploma, with the final-year subjects mathematics and chemistry. Practical (work-) experience is beneficial but not obligatory. The level of your diploma will be assessed after HAS has received your complete application form. Language requirements

If your previous education was not completely taught in English, you also need to be able to prove that you are proficient in the English language. HAS University of Applied Sciences prefers the IELTS test, academic programme: 6.0 (overall band score).
