Program Description

The Bachelor DEES Visuel Graphisme is a 3-year training preparing for the main professions of Visual Communication: Graphics. This graphic and digital program offers a complete range combining creativity, expertise and professionalism.

Following the obtaining of the DEES Visual, the holder masters the techniques of the graphic creation or those of the illustration.

He is trained in creative principles, particularly those applied to the fields of advertising graphics or illustration and comics.

This professional is asked to propose graphic solutions, to design various illustrations and finally to develop visual communication supports. The graduate DEES Visuel will have acquired the professionalism and the versatility necessary to translate the idea rigorously by forms, colors as well as by the image.

The work of the graphic designer consists, among other things, in creating and proposing various visual identification applications (such as logos, signposts, generics, etc.), communication media (posters, leaflets, press advertisements, etc.), product presentations. (covers of books, packaging, etc.) in forms granted to the aesthetic evolutions of the moment.

As for that of the illustrator, it resides in the written press, books (caricatures, comics, children's press, more specialized books, etc.), websites and video games.

Program

First year

This year of fundamental learning introduces the basics of creative composition and the discovery of the techniques necessary for the expression of creativity. The modules focus on the acquisition of both manual and digital tools: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, compositions, sketches, photos, typography, colors, etc.

The student develops his artistic sensibility in order to translate an idea into a graphic declination. He approaches and becomes familiar with the different media of expression.

Second year

This year is based on the fundamentals acquired in order to undertake a conceptual approach. The student conducts research and learns various theoretical and practical methods to create an interaction between the idea, the words, the image and the concept.

The creative aspect is complemented by the professional and technical approach that addresses crucial elements such as creative briefing, customer / designer relationship, deadlines, costs and deadlines.

Third year

This year is a shift from individual conceptual creative development to group work initiation.

The student and future graphic designer discovers and understands the interaction between the various stakeholders of a project as a whole: customer, agency, marketing, the approach of 3D, digital design etc. The student improves his overall vision of the job and understands the issues of creation.

Thanks to a complete range of tools and techniques, the future professional has a creative, critical and synthesis spirit that allows him to lead a project in its entirety.

General Purpose Bachelor Illustration Training

The Bachelor DEES Visual Illustration is a 3 year training preparing for the main trades of Illustration and Comics.

This manual and digital illustration program provides professional skills combining technique, creativity and expertise, to meet the demanding world of creative artistic communication.

A diploma work on a personal creation is required at the end of this training.

Program

First year

This first year of learning allows you to discover and acquire the basic artistic techniques necessary for future development. The modules focus on hand tools such as academy drawing, character drawing and design character, as well as digital tools like Photoshop, Illustrator software and digital painting through the optical pen.

By working with the pencil, the brush and all the basic tools, the student learns to feel and develop his artistic sensibility and his own style for the rest of his career.

Second year

This second year focuses on a professional and technical approach that addresses the different elements of project management, such as the creative briefing, the relationship with the client, the autonomy of work and the management of deadlines.

The student takes a conceptual approach by conducting research and using the methods taught to create an interaction between his idea, the words, the story and the image.

Third year

This year finalizes the key steps for the transition from individual conceptual creative development to professional work. The student develops skills that will be essential throughout his career.

The future illustrator discovers the global vision of the profession and the different interactions between the stakeholders of a project: customers, agency, publisher, etc.

At the end of this course, the future professional has a creative, critical and synthetic mind that allows him to integrate perfectly into the professional world.
