Program Description

What are popular future technologies for increasing energy efficiency? Can wind, water and sun cover the energy demand worldwide in times of energy transition? In the Bachelor's program Renewable Energies, you will learn how to answer these questions by acquiring scientifically sound, applied and basic knowledge. Summary

The study program Regenerative Energies offers you a diversified course of study that prepares you for the diverse fields of activity of the growth sector of renewable energy production. He lets you actively participate in the energy transition. The study program comprises six consecutive study semesters and will be held in the 7th semester. Semester completed with the practical phase in a company and the subsequent Bachelor thesis. You can start from 4. Choose one of the two specializations: electrical energy systems or thermal energy systems.

Because not everything is just a question of technology, the formation of personality as well as the teaching of social, economic, occupational science and legal literacy is important to us. With the successful completion of your studies you will be awarded the academic degree "Bachelor of Science". Thereafter, nothing stands in the way of your career in regenerative and conventional energy technology! You would rather continue your research? No problem! Alternatively, you can successfully continue your studies in a master's program nationally or internationally.

Goals and job prospects

The 7-semester bachelor program "Regenerative Energies" prepares you for a variety of fields of activity in the growth sector of renewable energy production and use. For this purpose, you deal interdisciplinary with the scientific and technical aspects of this future technology, taking into account economic and environmental issues. Specialized training in two areas of specialization and special practice orientation will enable you to act on your own responsibility. They are rapidly working on the broad spectrum of renewable energy technologies and systems and their integration into energy grids. In addition, you open up new areas of the energy transition. Thus, as a graduate, you can react flexibly to the ever-evolving requirements in practice and directly enter the rapidly growing market of future energies.

Study design

As exciting as this technology of the future is, so varied is the study of regenerative energies! During your studies, you will focus on the broad spectrum of regenerative energy technologies and systems as well as their integration into energy supply networks. In project work as well as the practical phase, you then apply your acquired knowledge immediately. Thus, you are optimally equipped to respond flexibly to the ever-changing demands in the professional world of practice.
