A BSc (Bachelor of Science) is an undergraduate course of study that takes students three to five years to complete.  While in school, students complete a variety of courses to prepare for additional education or future job opportunities.

There is a heavy emphasis on administration and business management in the academic field of public recreation because many recreation professionals manage government and non-profit organization programs. Recreation professionals often need to be prepared to manage multiple types of programs in community centers, shared/leased spaces, and in the outdoors.
