In essence, engineers find intelligent solutions to technological problems. Engineers at Campus Group T- the 5E engineers, however, are more than technology experts. Finally, they are big-picture thinkers with the ability to see complex problems from a systemic, integrated perspective. 5E engineering cannot be learned from a book or through individual work. 5E engineering is a matter of developing and fine-tuning an ensemble of qualities over the entire course of your studies and career. Collaboration, cross-professional experience, diversity and a plurality of world visions are crucial to the 5E engineering vision. This extraordinary vision requires an extraordinary programme. The principles underlying the engineering curriculum at Campus Group T Leuven create a learning and working environment that encourages on-going personal and professional development. Structure The Bachelor of Industrial Sciences is an academic bachelor's programme consisting of 3 programme stages with a total of 180 ECTS. The Bachelor’s programme comprises: a common programme of 3 semesters offers general basic, scientific- technological training in the four major basic sciences (physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics) and their corresponding technological fields (energy, matter, life and information technology) a specific programme of 3 semesters designed for the chosen major. Engineering Experience: introduction to Engineering Design Engineering Experiences are true learning experiences spread across the entire study programme. They are open and cross-disciplinary assignments that make you familiar with the engineering practice. You take on challenging projects in teams and hone your engineering and design skills. The experiences are presented each year in an Engineering Experiences Competition. Last year, the Chocolate Robot Team of Hannah Davidoff (USA), Youssef el Laithy (Egypt), Vladyslav Neshta (Ukraine), Jesheena Appalsawmy (Mauritius), Ibrahim Issa (Egypt) and George Athanassoulis Makris (Greece) was proclaimed as the winner with the first-ever 3D chocolate printer built with fischertechnik tools. International Campus Group T The Faculty of Engineering Technology maintains close ties with universities around the world. At Campus Group T, more than 20% of the engineering students are international students. They represent 65 different nationalities from all over the world. This international network extends not just to Europe, but also to China, Southeast Asia, India, Ethiopia and beyond. Campus Group T is the only campus of the faculty who offers all the degree programmes in the business language par excellence: English. Starting from a broad knowledge of sciences and technology, bachelor's students acquire professional and academic competencies in the life sciences. They solve technical problems, govern processes and manage systems. Moreover, students provide technical support to purchase and sales services and design new products and processes. All of this is located in the field of the student's choice: construction engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, IT-electronics or synthetic material processing. The students are capable of taking safety, ecology and care systems into account. Bachelor's degree holders can, if they so desire, immediately start a career in the industry. The programme primarily serves as a thorough preparation for related master's programmes, which aim to broaden the chosen field of study and deepen the skills acquired in the academic bachelor's programme. Masters may employ the professional title of industrial engineer.
