What is a BSc in Materials Science? A degree program such as this trains students in the technology and practices associated with managing and engineering new and existing materials. Students may study these concepts in courses such as advanced thermodynamics, properties of materials, solid-state physics, metallurgy and phase transformations. These classes will familiarize you with principles of engineering as well as the scientific foundation for working with materials.
