Taught entirely in English by world-renowned Technion faculty, the prestigious BSc in Civil Engineering program trains future engineers to meet the infrastructure creation and modernization challenges of the 21st century. The program exposes students to structural, economic, and construction management aspects of the physical and natural built environment, water resources planning, geoinformatics, and transportation engineering. Students also study the underlying applications of science and engineering to the improvement and preservation of natural resources through the deployment of clean technologies and infrastructure and renewable resource alternatives.
The program prepares students for successful careers in the private, public, and governmental sectors in areas such as infrastructure and general construction, water resources management, wastewater treatment, water treatment and pollution, control, air and soil pollution and remediation and solid waste disposal. More particularly, the program focuses on management of the different stages of the construction process including a broad variety of tasks that require knowledge and skills in an assortment of management, economic, business, planning, and legal areas, in addition to proficiency in classic engineering issues. The program also provides an introduction to topics related to the design and management of water delivery and supply systems, dispersion and trace pollutants in water bodies, water, and wastewater treatment, recycling treated wastewater for use in agricultural irrigation, efficient use of water resources and development of new water sources.
