Placements and internships A placement is an opportunity to gain vital industry experience with an employer. Placements are not compulsory on the three year degree, although you can take a placement during your summer vacation, either paid or unpaid as a volunteer. If you choose to study over four years the placement is compulsory and takes place after the second year of the course. Typically you’ll work as a paid employee and will receive an additional Diploma in Professional Practice qualification. You will be supported in finding a placement by our Placements Office.
