Our mission is to enable our students to gain the necessary knowledge and skills in the scientific and technical areas associated with the practice of Civil Engineering, and to provide them with an educational environment that enables their preparation as self-confident engineers with critical thinking skills who practice their profession at the highest standards with a strong sense of ethics.


Summarized as “Excellence in education, productivity in research, competitiveness in entrepreneurship!” our vision is to develop a nationally and internationally accredited educational program not only to reinforce the leadership position of our department among the national private universities but also to increase our rank to within the top five among all universities in Turkey. Besides their Civil Engineering knowledge and skills, it is an integral part of our vision that our graduates be progressive individuals who are knowledgeable and interested in social sciences, humanities and arts, dedicated to serve their community, and capable of quality research and creative entrepreneurship.

Job Opportunities

Civil Engineers are employed in planning, design, construction, management, maintenance, repair and renewal of infrastructure components such as building, transportation, energy and irrigation systems.

Well educated Civil Engineers are presented with a wide spectrum of job opportunities in public and private sectors. Growing share of Turkish Civil Engineering and construction services in the World construction market increases international job opportunities in parallel with the global economic growth.


Laboratories are the most important part for the Department of Civil Engineering. The information is learned in classrooms, and laboratories are used to get the practical knowledge. In addition, these laboratories are used for research purposes.

Atilim University was founded by the Atilim Foundation on 15 July 1997 to serve as a Foundation University in the capacity of a legal entity pursuant to provisions of Law no. 2547 concerning the Foundation of Higher Education Institutes. Atılım’s goal is to develop individuals with the capability of attaining and putting to use the universal information required in the age of technology;- individuals who are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, able to work as members of a team, and are not afraid of competition.
