What you will study
Our BSc (Hons) International Event Management course examines large and small-scale events, providing you with a wide range of event-management skills and experience. This includes planning a real event and obtaining an industry recognised events safety passport qualification.
We have industry partners who help us deliver our modules, allowing you to draw upon their wealth of experience in the business. You can also study and become engaged with numerous events that take place throughout the year.
Our Professional Training placements offer you the opportunity to look beyond the UK and consider events on an international scale. You will benefit from our location in the thriving economy of the south-east, as well as our close proximity to London.

Applicants taking an A-level science subject with the Science Practical Endorsement are required to pass the practical element.
Please note: A-level General Studies and A-level Critical Thinking are not accepted.
BSc (Hons) with foundation year: CCD
GCSE or equivalent: English Language at Grade C(4) and Mathematics at Grade C (4) (or equivalent).
English language requirements
IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall with 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in each other element.
If you do not currently meet the level required for your programme, we offer intensive pre-sessional English language courses, designed to take you to the level of English ability and skill required for your studies here.

You have the option to complete a Professional Training placement as part of this course. This will give you the opportunity to develop your professional, academic and personal potential, helping to prepare you for your future career.
A significant proportion of placement students at Surrey are offered graduate-level jobs or go onto postgraduate study.

We give our students the opportunity to acquire international experience during their studies by taking advantage of our exchange agreements with overseas universities or by completing a Professional Training placement abroad.
