BSc (Hons) International Business Management with Foundation Year
The BSc International Business with Foundation Year is aimed at students who have an interest in developing knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of business and management, and in particular, who are looking to pursue a career internationally in business management.
The degree programme is designed so that the Foundation Year provides an underpinning year, incorporating both academic and work/professional related learning, for applicants needing to improve their knowledge and understanding of business and its related skills. The year provides students with knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of business management along with the necessary skills needed to participate in the undergraduate business programmes at levels 4, 5 and 6.
The first year covers the foundation elements of business management. Year 2 is spent working internationally at one of GUS's organisations in Dublin Singapore, Toronto, Vancouver or Berlin. Years 3 covers a management discipline, which you found specifically interesting during your work experience in more depth and in particular further develops your employability skills. The programme provides the intellectual underpinnings required for a career in a rapidly changing work environment, a rigorous approach to self-awareness and personal development and significant exposure to the world of work and its current demands through work experience opportunities.
The emphasis in the course design has been to provide this strong business degree with a focus on employability. The course offers an excellent grounding in knowledge of the key aspects of business management that are covered by a range of modules from the Management subject area. In turn, the degree seeks to inculcate in students many of the skills and competences in research, presentation, critical analysis, problem-solving, team building and entrepreneurship, which all together should be helpful for future employment opportunities. By undertaking a business degree with The University of Law Business School at one of our UK campuses, you'll also be eligible for our Free Master's offer. To maximise your employability prospects, you can progress onto a business Master's course at no additional cost on successful completion of your undergraduate degree.
