Program Description

The BSc (Hons) Information Technology will give you strong analytical skills as well as train you to be technologically savvy. Graduates will be able to work in high technology industries as well as in organizations that make significant use of computer systems.

A good mix of knowledge in software development and hardware will make you attractive employee in line with the needs of the fast-moving technology-based industries. By combining your knowledge on the technical side of IT with hands-on experience, you will be adept at developing an organization’s technology infrastructure and support the people who use it.

This is a versatile program that offers many options for students. It is a general degree, best suited for students who wish to proceed as generalists in computing and build successful careers as IT professionals and managers. However, the options don’t end there – students can continue into graduate study, take up research positions, or go into cross-disciplinary innovation.

Entry Requirement

  • STPM: Average C+ or CGPA 2.33 (minimum 2 Principals)
  • A Level: Points are calculated based on grades obtained for 2 or 3 subjects - minimum 12 points
  • Australian Matriculation: ATAR 60
  • Canadian Matriculation: 60%
  • MUFY: 60%
  • Sunway Foundation in Arts: CGPA 2.3
  • Sunway Foundation in Science and Technology: CGPA 2.3
  • UEC: Maximum 26 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs including Mathematics)
  • IB: Completed with minimum 25 points (excluding bonus points)
