The goal of Algoma U's Business Program is to provide students with a strong, well-rounded foundation of business skills and concepts, partnered with the ability to apply these intellectual tools in the challenging and dynamic world of global business. This focus allows our graduates to make a smooth transition from the academic environment to the business world. Students can also enhance their core learnings by choosing one of the five available specializations, or by selecting elective courses outside of the business discipline. This allows students to combine their individual areas of interest into their core business studies.
Specific courses in this degree may also be applied toward certification in the Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified General Accountant (CGA) programs, as well as other professional designations. Algoma U courses are also recognized by the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada (AFOA), which can prepare students to become Certified Aboriginal Financial Managers (CAFM certification).Students have the option of completing a Bachelor of Business Administration degree or a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree.
