International business activities are providing significant opportunities for Canadian businesses of any size and industry. Various globalization processes (cultural, economic, political, etc.) are underlying international business activities and are driving the internationalization of the world economy.
In the IB stream, you will examine the theory and methods of engaging in business internationally. The program involves selected aspects of:
- International Trade Theory
- Political Economy
- Foreign Direct Investment
- Regional Economic Integration
- The Global Monetary System
- Global Strategy
- International Operations
This stream will integrate business theory and practices drawing on the various sub-disciplines of business administration. The program will help students todevelop or enhance global perspectives, responsibilities and critical thinking, as well as language skills. It will also offer cross-cultural experiences provided by StFX and exchange partners abroad. The IB stream is designed to offer an integrated business program with an international focus emphasizing an experiential international education.
