The Department of Art & Art History present a diverse and dynamic mixture of stylistic and aesthetic viewpoints that instill intellectual curiosity and critical thinking. Excellent facilities, accomplished faculty/artists, and a well-designed curriculum create an ideal setting for the study of art. Beyond the studio and lecture hall, the department offers study abroad, art in the community, career preparation, internship opportunities, and exhibitions and lectures by contemporary artists. Many art alumni have found successful employment in corporations, design firms, and non-profit organizations. Some choose to pursue graduate study, to become independent artists, or to teach art. Others elect careers in art galleries, museums, and other cultural institutions.
