BA in International Business and Social Sciences

International interdependence of economics, as well as the interaction of regional economic systems, led to a strong increase of multinational operating companies and organizations. This development is considered in this course of study. The structure of the course follows a logical sequence of Economics, Politics, Law and Social Sciences in which partial disciplines are designed to be taught in particular in an international context. Here a special focus is on the interdisciplinary connection of Economics contents with social scientific aspects. This combination offers graduates the opportunity to not only analyze and assess scientific issues from an economical but also ethical, moral and social point of view. The course of study will be exclusively taught in English in order to meet the requirements of an international job market. Economic questions will be application-oriented assessed and explained and analyzed by looking at the economy as a whole. The additional application of experimental economic research makes the application-oriented analysis of real situations of decision-making under laboratory conditions possible and thus the development of the profound understanding of complex interactions in economics. The course of study has a strong interdisciplinary orientation in order to meet these qualification aims.

Graduates of the undergraduate degree programme possess sound knowledge of basic concepts and methods of economics and are conscious of the requirements of economically and socially responsible behavior. Therefore, they are ideally equipped for the requirements of the job market and/ or a postgraduate course.
