What You'll Study

Throughout your studies you will develop skills in the following areas:

  • Global governance and strategy: Gain insight into how world politics function and the relationships among countries, the roles of states, intergovernmental organisations, non-governmental organisations and multinational corporations. Learn how to define and develop successful international strategies in order to achieve and exercise positions of governance and influence.
  • Foreign policy and public policy-making: Learn how to effectively formulate, implement and monitor foreign policies and other public policies at an international level, to ensure the accomplishment of the expected goals and successful execution of global strategies for local, regional, national or international organisations.
  • Intercultural management: Develop a clear understanding of how gender, ethnicity, religion, and culture impact social relations, and how to manage this cultural diversity in order to achieve mutual understanding among people in culturally complex situations.
  • Diplomacy: Learn how to build, maintain and promote diplomatic relations. Be trained to solve problems, devise strategies and improvements in a wide range of international organizations, conduct research, analyse data, and prepare reports and present findings in-company or as an external consultant.

Testimonials

"I'm enrolled in the International Relations BA programme at MIUC. I love the people and the environment here; it's one of a kind, to be honest. It´s very multicultural here - Imagine the whole world gathered in one class!! It's a challenge for me, but I'm up to the challenge and I'm happy here!

My favourite lecture is with our Dean, Óscar.

At MIUC, I am experiencing the best classes I have ever had, because of the interaction and debates with the other students, which have shown me how to understand more people from around the world. Just look at the sun outside!

Here in Marbella, you can go outside and have a swim, do sports and hobbies. And the nightlife in nearby Puerto Banús is also amazing. The atmosphere both on and off campus is excellent."

"My name is Tim, and I came down to Marbella MIUC University, and over here I am studying International Relations, as I was looking for a place where I can be effective as a student, and where also the professors and lecturers can be efficient themselves. These are some of the main reasons, apart from being in a very good and beautiful place to be in and live in and study.

I am happy to be here, to be honest; it is amazing, truly it is amazing because once you find a set of small settings of interactive performance, you find out your performance actually accelerates, it is also very practical; this is why I like it. So it is practical and very interactive with fellow students, this creates an interactive atmosphere, which engages students more.

For me, coming to Marbella MIUC, just gave me the opportunity to interact with this phenomenon, different backgrounds, different cultures, different dialects. It is actually a cosmopolitan school and a cosmopolitan city.

Living in Marbella, for me it is like a dream come true, it is a really nice place, really cool, the ambience, the environment, the weather, the sunshine throughout the year, coming to Europe and finding out this place actually does not experience such a winter like UK or something, surprised me. It actually made me more eager to live here."
