BA in Human Resource Management

With a BA in Human Resource Management, you can have a career as an HRM Personnel Manager, HRM Personnel Officer, Training Manager, Recruitment, and Selection Officer.

Admission requirements

  • Minimum APS:
    • 26 with Mathematics OR
    • 28 with Mathematical Literacy
  • English: 4 (50%+)
  • Mathematics: 4 (50%+)
  • Mathematical Literacy: 5 (60%+)

Meeting the Faculty’s minimum requirements for a particular programme does not necessarily guarantee admission to that programme as specific selection criteria may be applied and due to space constraints.

BA Hons in Human Resource Management

The BA Hons in Human Resource Management programme design and content ensure a combination of theoretical depth and advanced practical application, as well as honing specific performance enhancement skills. The first study year is generic while students in their second study year can specialize in one of the following fields of study: Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development.

Admission requirements

A potential student should be in possession of a BA qualification on NQF Level 6 (old NQF Level 7) with Industrial Psychology or Human Resource Management as major modules on NQF Level 6 (old NQF Level 7). A module in analytical techniques or statistical methods on NQF Level 6 (old NQF Level 7) is strongly recommended. Access to the Internet and Computer literacy is compulsory. An average of 65% will allow a potential student to apply for the Honours course.

  • BA Hons in Human Resource Management: 2 years part-time

Registration and Start Dates

Registration starts in January and lectures in February for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate course work programmes.

All research programmes for Masters and PhD can register throughout the year.

End Date: Academic starts in January and ends in December. Programme deadline is determined by the duration of the programme.
