This course is for people who want to top up an HND (or similar) to a full honors degree.
ABI College offers a one-year Honours degree in Leadership and Business Management in partnership with University of St Mark & St John. This course builds on the student’s existing knowledge and skills which employers value and our lecturers ensure that students engage with the latest thinking and developments in the subject and related areas.
The BA (Hons) LBM Top-Up degree programme is designed to produce qualified graduates in a one year programme who will gain the knowledge, skills, and ability to enter the field of business management, has developed a blend of business operational knowledge and practical skills as well as interpersonal abilities. In doing this it aims to enable students to apply theory in a range of organizational contexts, develop academic and key skills and develop autonomy and independence in their learning.
The flexibility of this programme, building on the student’s previous achievements at HND level, allows students to prepare themselves for a professional career in business leadership and management that suits their individual skills and interests. On completion of the programme, students will be able to progress to a variety of careers in general management or seek to develop their own business. Students successfully completing the course can also have the opportunity to apply for admission to the MA Leadership and Management programme delivered by ABI College in partnership with the University of St. Mark & St. John or other postgraduate study programmes.

The typical entry requirement is successful completion of an HND or its equivalent as follows:
BTEC HND in Business and/or Management or in a related area
ABE Advanced Diploma in Business Administration or
240 credits or equivalent of a recognized UK undergraduate award in a relevant subject
Completion of bridging work (one specified preliminary assignment)
For students without English as a first language, an overall IELTS score of 6.0 is required (including a minimum of 6.0 in each competency: reading, writing, listening, speaking), or equivalent.
