Human Resource Management (HRM) plays a critical role in ensuring businesses achieve strategic effectiveness by developing this resource. This programme will enable you to become a competent HR professional who can assist your organization to achieve a competitive advantage. It introduces you to the role of HRM within the context of business management and is of considerable benefit to anyone who is currently working in, or hopes to work in, the area of HRM or general management.
The first year of the programme focuses on general management, while years two and three focus on the context and practices of HRM, including how organizations manage people, and how they motivate employees to achieve high standards of performance. The programme also deals with the wider social, economic, political and historical context within which organizations operate.
You will be encouraged to undertake sandwich placements to improve your industry skills or you may apply to participate in overseas exchanges with our Erasmus partners.
The aims of the programme are:

- To understand important theoretical approaches in the field of Human Resource Management.
