This programme produces graduates with an entrepreneurial approach to events management who will be confident, creative managers and researchers in the field. You will acquire the skills and knowledge required to plan, design, deliver and evaluate events. Areas covered include event operations, marketing, human resource management, event design, enterprise and strategy, and event finance and practice. By using case studies and industry examples, you will gain an understanding of the global events industry and be able to develop your career as an event professional.
You will generally be employable in a wide variety of areas. These include event coordination, pitch presentation, and sales. You will be attractive to the conference, exhibition, sporting, cultural, PR, marketing and tourism businesses because of your specialist knowledge and transferable skills. You will also be confident in launching your own event-focused or other small business enterprise.
