Start dates: September, January, May
This Top-Up degree offers ambitious and driven students a highly practical degree that develops their understanding and appreciation for the successful creation of their business, providing students with a range of necessary skills to achieve their aims whilst providing a platform to share with and meet likeminded students.
The programme has been designed by the double AACSB accredited Newcastle Business School, part of a select group of business schools worldwide, following accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) in business and accounting – the first in Europe to gain the double accreditation, and is developed for students with prior qualifications gained from either a Foundation Degree or BTEC HND. As well as exposing students to a range of business relevant topics, this Top-Up degree is also designed to further develop students’ academic abilities in order to ensure they are able to apply their knowledge in the business environment.
The programme encompasses a range of modules designed to enhance your knowledge and understanding of the operational processes that go into SMEs as well as develop your academic skills. In Leadership for SMEs and Finance in an SME Context, the essential skills for the successful operation of a business will be developed, and later in the year, these skills will be streamlined into practical application through our SME Project and Designed and Implementing SME Business Strategy modules.
This programme is all about developing your ability to create and run your own successful business or work in an SME in a range of sectors. All the skills acquired on this programme are in high demand by employers looking for resourceful and creative managers, providing you with a broad range of options on completion.
