Experiential Learning/Internships
During your undergraduate studies, you’ll have a number of hands-on opportunities to gain real-world experience.
Case Competitions
Case competitions are one of our most popular opportunities for management and other business majors. A case competition starts with a fictitious or real “problem.” Students then work individually or in teams to identify possible solutions and present them to a panel of judges. Each competition provides incentives for both the winners and participants, in addition to earning an ExEL unit credit.
Internships
In addition to case competitions, management majors enjoy exclusive internships at companies like Castle Group, City Furniture, AutoNation, My Real Estate Broker Inc., Pet Express, Crossway Church, and more. You’ll also have access to our Corporate Speaker Series, workshops, and employer networking events, which bring you face-to-face with leading organizations and Fortune 500 executives.
Career Opportunities
Your Direct Pipeline into the Workforce
With a management degree, you have a lot of flexibility in the job location. You can also devote your career to an area of management you’re interested in (e.g. financial management, human resource management, property management, sales management, etc.) You can also have a career in any of a number of industries (e.g., finance, retail, IT, manufacturing, health care, etc.) Some management graduates go on to obtain an M.B.A. with a major in Management in order to pursue executive-level management positions.
Average Starting Salary
According to a 2020 report from PayScale.com, graduates with a business management degree make an average of $64,134 per year. This is a degree that comes with great earnings potential.

You’ll find NSU management degree alumni at companies like Castle Group, City Furniture, Enterprise Holdings, Sherwin Williams, Norwegian Cruise Line, Seminole Hard Rock, and TD Bank. Within these companies, they hold titles such as manager, assistant manager, property manager, training manager, real estate agent, sales manager, and shift manager.*
