1. Applicant Requirements

  1. Applicants must have completed/be completing Mathayom 6 or its equivalent at high school.
  • 1.1. Applicants must have completed/be completing Mathayom 6 at a Thai high school; or
<li>1.2. Applicants must have completed/be completing Grade 12 at a U.S.-system school; or</li>
<li>1.3. Applicants must have completed/be completing Year 13 at a British-system school; or</li>
<li>1.4. Applicants must have completed/be completing GCE O-level at a British-system school; or</li>

1.5 Applicants who submit a GED diploma or an IGCSE diploma as certification equivalent to completing high school issued by the Thai Ministry of Education, must also submit transcripts according to the following requirements:

  • 1.5.1. Applicants from Thai schools must submit transcripts covering no less than four semesters (two full academic years) from Mathayom 4 - 5.
  • 1.5.2. Applicants from U.S.-system schools must submit transcripts covering no less than four semesters (two full academic years) from Grades 10 - 11.
  • 1.5.3. Applicants from British-system schools must submit transcripts covering no less than 6 semesters (three full academic years) from Years 10 - 12.

1.6. Applicants who have completed the equivalent level from high schools other than the systems mentioned above must not be younger than 17 years old. Applicants must also submit the equivalent certification of having completed high school issued by the Thai Ministry of Education.

  1. Applicants must achieve the minimum score on one of the following English Proficiency tests:
  • 2.1. TOEFL (Paper-based) not lower than 550 or
<li>2.2. TOEFL (Internet-based)                not lower than   79    or</li>
<li>2.3. IELTS  (Academic)                not lower than   6.5    or</li>
<li>2.4. CU-TEP &amp; Speaking  (taken on the same date)    not lower than   101</li>

  1. Applicants will be evaluated on the combined test scores taken on the same date from one of the following:
  • 3.1. CU-AAT (Verbal and Maths) not lower than 1100 or
<li>3.2. Old SAT (Maths and Critical Reading)        not lower than 1100     or</li>
<li>3.3. New SAT                     not lower than 1170</li>
<li>(Maths and Evidence-Based Reading &amp; Writing)</li>

All scores relating to 1.2 and 1.3 must be for examinations taken within two years of the application date. The applicants must submit the examination results according to the instructions specified under 4.4 and 4.5

  1. All applicants must have a history of good behavior and agree to abide strictly by existing and any future University regulations, codes and policies.

2. Admissions

The Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme (International Business Management major and Accounting major) is authorized to admit up to sixteen (16) qualified applicants.

3. Application Package

Applicants must complete the application form in full and ensure that all the information supplied is true and correct. All application forms must be accompanied by the following:

  • 1. Two one-inch (1") photographs
  • 2. Enrolment certificate (only for those who have not yet fulfilled all requirements for a high school diploma/certificate)
  • 3. Academic transcript(s)
  • 4. Electronic exam results in accordance with item 1.2
  • 4.1. If an applicant selects the TOEFL exam, the result must be sent by ETS directly to the Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme. Please use the following code for the Chulalongkorn BBA Programme: 4559.
  • 4.2. If an applicant selects the IELTS exam, the result must be sent by its testing centre directly to the Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme. Please use the following code for the Chulalongkorn BBA: 138499.
  • 4.3. If an applicant selects the CU-TEP & Speaking exam, he/she must submit the official result issued by the Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center (CU-ATC). The official result can be obtained from the CU-ATC at Chamchuri 8 Building, 3rd floor.
  1. Electronic exam results in accordance with item 1.3
  • 5.1. If an applicant selects the SAT exam, the electronic exam result must be sent by the College Board directly to the Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme. Please use the following code for the Chulalongkorn BBA Programme: 4559.
<li>5.2. If an applicant selects the CU-AAT exam, he/she must submit the official result issued by the Chulalongkorn University Academic Testing Center (CU-ATC). The official result can be obtained from the CU-ATC at Chamchuri 8 Building, 3rd floor.</li>

Note: Electronic exam results in accordance with items 3.4.1 – 3.4.2 and 3.5.1 must be sent by ETS or by the College Board directly to the Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme.

  1. A copy of the applicant’s passport

4. Evaluation Criteria

Successful applicants will be evaluated on their admission criteria and test scores in accordance with item 1.3. The applicants must pass a personal interview conducted in English arranged by the Bachelor of Business Administration International Programme at the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.

5. Enrolment

In order to be eligible to enrol at Chulalongkorn University, applicants must have successfully completed upper secondary or high school education. Applicants who have graduated from international schools in Thailand that have been accredited by the Ministry of Education may use their school transcript or diploma. In all other cases, they need to obtain an equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Education.
