A Fundação Universidade do Vale do Itajaí é a mantenedora da Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, do Hospital Universitário Pequeno Anjo, da Rádio Educativa Univali FM e da TV Univali. Sua estrutura administrativa compreende os Conselhos de Administração Superior e Curador, além da Diretoria.

A assessoria administrativa da Fundação Univali é exercida pela Diretoria Administrativa, formada pela Gerência Financeira, Gerência de Recursos Humanos, Gerência de Tecnologia da Informação, Coordenadoria de Custos e Controladoria, Coordenadoria de Infraestrutura e Coordenadoria de Suprimentos.

A Procuradoria Geral é órgão responsável pela defesa judicial da Instituição e pela manutenção da legalidade dos atos de todos os setores da Fundação Universidade do Vale do Itajaí e de suas mantidas. Compete à Procuradoria Geral prestar assessoramento jurídico aos titulares da Fundação Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, suas mantidas e seus órgãos colegiados.

É a Procuradoria Geral que representa judicialmente e extrajudicialmente a Fundação Universidade do vale do Itajaí e suas mantidas, dá suporte jurídico à tomada de decisão das autoridades acadêmicas e administrativas, elabora e controla a regulamentação interna, orienta e informa os setores acadêmicos e administrativos sobre procedimentos a serem adotados.
