In the final trimesters of study, students learn a number of sophisticated skills including character rigging, intricate application scripting for games engines and motion capture for real-time games animation and cinematics. These skills are geared towards the final project which begins with the formation of teams, the generation of ideas and a thorough work-up of the games design process. In the final trimester of studio development, teams spend time producing their game concept in a process designed to emulate a real-world game production. With lecturers acting as Executive Producers, students incorporate knowledge developed thus far to produce a fully-interactive game world. These worlds may be suited for use as either a prototype of a possible larger production, or a complete smaller-scale independent games project.
