Sooner than we think. Sensor technology is everywhere. And this is only the beginning! During the bachelor's programme you can participate in applied research to apply sensors to develop and improve existing appliances, products and services, for instance in the fields of healthcare, sport & leisure and robotics. Overview The first year is composed of two semesters, focusing respectively on healthcare and energy. The curriculum covers a wide range of subjects related to sensor technology, including biology, chemistry, electronics, mathematics and computer programming, as well as extensive English and professional skills lessons. Students gain the knowledge required to enter the main phase of the programme. The main phase of the Bachelor Programme begins in the second year. Subjects are organised around the themes and knowledge areas of healthcare (sensing), robotics (systems & control), agriculture (sensor networks) and infrastructure (meaningful data). Examples of subjects you will have in this year are sensors, ethics, programming in Java, robotics and sensor networks. The third year provides students with a more in-depth knowledge of sensors. The socially relevant nature of each theme becomes increasingly apparent. Students are also able to take a more personal direction to their study.
