The Programme

This Bachelor’s programme has been carefully designed and is unique in the very popular educational area of financial engineering. Focusing on financial mathematics and quantitative computer-based methods of financial analysis, it provides a good background in mathematics, economics and business administration. Analytical Finance is an internationally-oriented programme taught entirely in English. Students may take part in the international student exchange programme at Mälardalen University and include in their studies a longer stay at one of our partner universities around the world. Highly qualified professors, lecturers and other teachers, from both academia and industry, participate in the programme, which is supported by active research and diverse cooperation programmes with the financial industry. The focus of the programme is on economic and financial real-life problems. Advanced financial software is used in the teaching. The programme has a built-in flexibility and allows students to choose from a selection of subjects.
