A bachelor’s degree is a post-secondary degree awarded after completed 120 credits. It usually takes eight semesters to complete a Bachelor’s degree. This study area prepares graduates for holding line and managerial posts, positions as company economists, financial management specialists and for participating in entrepreneurial activities, planning, marketing and business activities. Our graduates also often find employment in consulting companies, interest groups and associations, financial and other offices of public administration and in financial and insurance institutions. The objectives of this programme are to develop students' knowledge in economic and management sciences, to introduce the students to the essence of economic processes and the way they affect society, to teach and promote methods which help monitor and control economic and managerial processes, to teach and promote quantitative methods and techniques in order to give students modern and prospective tools which will help them in decision-making processes and in the management of the implementation of their results in practice, to teach students such skills and give them such professional knowledge that will allow them to work effectively on the middle management level in organizations of all sizes or in their branches. Competences: determination of future development of a concrete company in accordance with development trends, leading companies on higher management levels. Admission procedure The general requirements for admission are as follows: Submitting an application form Passing an entrance exam: Bachelor applicants - consisting of Mathematics and English language tests (the test of Maths contains 12 items and the test of the English language contains 50 items) Obtaining the recognition of previous education Payment of the tuition fee (for all programmes in English the tuition fee is approximately 1 500 EUR per academic year) Recognition of previous foreign education Recognition of previous study is an obligatory condition required by the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic for students who apply for degree programmes. The recognition is provided by the official authorities. Applicants for bachelor level Applicants for the bachelor level study must prove the recognition of their secondary school education which is arranged by the Department of Education of the South Moravian authority office of the Czech Republic. We provide assistance with translation of your documents into Czech and submitting your documents for recognition at the South Moravian authority office. To apply for the recognition the bachelor applicants must submit the following documents: Application for recognition Secondary school leaving certificate with grades – officially authenticated copy (please, see below the type of authorization) List of courses taken during the whole secondary school including the number of hours taken in each course. For the successful recognition the total must be more then 4 000 hours - officially authenticated copy (please, see below the type of authentication) Copy of passport All the required documents must be translated into Czech by the official translator. If we provide assistance we will pay the fees for translation and recognition of your previous education.
