Students of the program, in their first major required course, develop a feasibility study for a new venture, which is then used in subsequent courses. The purpose of The University of Tampa Sport Management Major is to provide students with a combination of sport business theory and practical experience to prepare them for a successful career in the sport management industry. There are more than 250 students majoring in sport management.
The curriculum consists of sport management courses as well as courses from the Sykes College of Business and a 12-credit-hour internship with a sport organization.
