DESCRIPTION During the first year, thanks to the presence of a Chinese tutor, students are introduced to the study of English and Italian and receive assistance to ensure full integration in the bi-lingual lessons designed to provide the cultural and managerial basics in the fashion and luxury sectors. In the second year, the focus on languages remains strong, and students also embark upon a series of guided visits providing them with first-hand experience of the locations where the main fashion and luxury brands are produced. During the third year, the student acquires the main marketing and communication tools required to become a true manager, participating in a number of courses with students of other nationalities. In the fourth year, the student is fully integrated, and gains all the elements useful for developing leadership qualities and creating a business project that can be used as a personal portfolio in the global marketplace. HOW TO APPLY The course is open to Chinese-speaking students with a high school diploma. Access to the course is limited. Candidates must pass a written entrance exam, to be submitted by email within 48 hours from registration and be available for an interview via Skype with the Head of Department. A Chinese teacher will provide support during both the exam and the interview. Bachelor Business of Fashion This 4-year course aims to create a manager of creativity and creative manager: somebody who can convert a vision into a business model and develop it efficiently. It is about reconceiving the idea of business by developing cultural and creative skills on one side, economic and managerial on the other, and forming an all-round figure for the current fashion industry. Business of Fashion covers three main areas of study. The first is Vision: in-depth research into fashion and social trends that will stand the student in good stead when deciding which direction to take in the future. Next, Business: the implementation and management of different business models, both conventional and unconventional. Lastly there is Communication: analysing, creating or restoring a brand identity and communicating a concept at different levels, whether it is written, visual or integrated. Throughout this 4 year course, students will take language, cultural and tutorial courses, attend guest lectures and field trips, prepare two technical projects per year to build a portfolio, and complete a period of work experience in a Fashion Company at the end of the course. Negative tests results imply a learning debt , that defines additional educational duties both for Maths and English. Application: Applications will be possible through an online procedure.
