The English-taught bachelor’s degree in International Equine Business Management is a business administration degree in which the horse plays a central part. Business administration subjects make up 70% of the International Equine Business Management course. While horse-related subjects make up the remaining 30%. The focus on equine management makes it easier for students to absorb the information on the business administration subjects such as marketing and economics. Writing business plans One of the things that the students will learn during the study programme is how to write policy memos. The student must choose a current topic within the sector such as doping in equestrian sports or identification & registration, for example, and create a policy for it. Personal supervision of each student by his/her study coach will complement this course unit throughout the first year. In the following two years, we continue to work on the development of our students, as to fully prepare them for the professional life. Furthermore, all our lecturers are very approachable and are happy to help students with resolving any problems. PRACTICE-ORIENTED Practice orientation is our main priority. We discuss numerous cases and organise company visits, practicals and study trips. Furthermore, we work closely with many different companies, including for the graduation internship (±65 working days). The bachelor project consists of a consultancy assignment that students have to carry out in groups during a period of four months under supervision of experts. The practical sessions that focus on teaching skills and attitudes are held in small groups. The lesson schedule is student-friendly and provides lesson-free moments for self-study, group work and practicals. QUALITY CONTROL We set high quality standards for our students, but also for ourselves. By carefully reviewing the study programme and consulting employers we ensure that our curriculum is closely aligned with the needs of the labour market. This gives our graduates the best chance of job security. INTERNATIONAL CLASSES The students almost naturally acquire intercultural skills because they work together in an international group of students with very diverse backgrounds on a daily basis.
