Bachelor of Business Administration - Intenational Hospitality Management

Mahidol University International College

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in International Hospitality Management

The International hospitality industry is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic in the world, particularly in Thailand where tourism has enormous importance for both the public and private sectors. In line with industry needs, the focus of the Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) major is the critical interface between theory and practice, clearly demonstrated by the curriculum’s strong vocational nature, its analytical approach to this global industry and its commitment to sustainable development.

At MUIC, the integration of faculty expertise, industry links and state-of-the-art facilities provides the most comprehensive training environment in Thailand, especially with the on-campus Salaya Hotel and Training Center where students gain insights into the management of a live hotel and experience real-life situations, functions, guests and conferences.

To provide students with a greater range of career options, the Tourism and Hospitality Management major offers two modules: Travel and Sustainable Tourism Development and Hospitality Management.
Career Opportunities

According to the Thai Hotel Association and Tourism Authority of Thailand, the tourism and hospitality industry will need more than 8,000 new graduates over the next five years, which will provide a multiplicity of opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

Admissions Requirements

For Regular Applicants

MUIC also offers an “Intensive English Program” course for students preparing to take the college’s English entrance examination.

For International Applicants

Interested international candidates may apply 3 times a year through the Admission Section. Applicants must have already completed their high school education or equivalent to high school as issued by the Ministry of Education, Thailand.

If the school certificate/diploma is not in the English language, a certified English translation of the document must be arranged and forwarded to the Ministry of Education in Thailand to see if it is acceptable.

Candidates who are not native English speakers have to submit a TOEFL score (IBT score of at least 79 with a score of at least 25 in writing) or IELTS score (6.0 or above with writing 6.0) or SAT score (1,650 with a Math score of 580 or above).
