Introduction
The Business Administration program prepares you to solve complex business problems and develops your understanding of firms' challenges in an interconnected and digitalized world. It is a well-rounded program covering all management domains. You will develop your entrepreneurial, cross-cultural, and language skills in all stages.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration prepares you to find your way in an increasingly complex business environment. Globalization has extended markets far beyond national borders and technology keeps global commerce moving 24 hours a day.
Some products and services become increasingly complex, while others are becoming obsolete. Consumers demand prompt and customized service at the best price. Businesses require complex networks of distribution. These are just some examples of the issues you will address as a student in the Business Administration program.
The three-year program is both hands-on and academic. It follows a practice-as-orientation and science-as-foundation approach. Business Administrators are managers who can make informed strategic decisions in response to economic challenges and opportunities.
The program is taught in English and has a strong international focus. Our students participate in exchange programs with numerous partners both within and outside Europe. Selected students can pursue a double degree with Kedge Business School (Marseille).
This double degree takes four years of study: 4 semesters in Brussels and 4 semesters in Marseille.
Ideal Students
Our mathematics courses assume and build on a foundation of mathematical knowledge and skills. This minimum prerequisite knowledge includes basic algebra, linear, and quadratic functions, including graphical aspects and applications.
Career Opportunities
Business administrators are managers who can make informed strategic decisions in response to economic challenges and opportunities. The majority of students continue their education in KU Leuven's Master of Science in Business Administration program in Antwerp or Brussels. Although many graduates go on to graduate-level studies, your bachelor's degree in Business Administration certainly has value in its own right in today’s job market. As a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate, you have knowledge that can be successfully applied in a wide range of vacancies and sectors. Depending on your personal interests and career goals, your degree will give you access to positions in purchasing, sales, marketing, production control, planning and budgeting, financial management, and ICT. Graduates also find employment in banks and insurance companies, join the civil service or one of the European institutions, or start their own company.
Through assignments and projects, in close contact with organizations (e.g. management projects, bachelor's thesis, and career development courses), you develop general and specific management competencies, career and research skills, and a sense of entrepreneurship.
Students and young graduates can consult relevant job vacancies and internships with the help of our online career platform Career Corner. You will also have the opportunity to meet potential employers at job and internship fairs organized throughout the year and during campus recruitment activities.
