Why Legal Studies at Bay Path University?
Bay Path's Legal Studies degree programs are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Upon successful degree completion, you will receive a Certificate of Advanced Paralegal Studies which provides students an increased opportunity to work in a variety of legal settings.
The legal studies programs are designed to give you a greater understanding of the legal process, institutions, and ideas that are the foundation of our society. Bay Path University students may earn either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. Both degree programs are approved by the ABA.
The Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies is appropriate for those who intend to go on to law school or graduate school, or those who have a strong interest in legal professions or the humanities.
The Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies is appropriate for those who intend to enter law, business, or other professional fields after graduation.

Legal Studies programs combine a broad liberal arts knowledge base with a solid foundation of legal theory and practical application that incorporates critical thinking, communications, ethics, and interpersonal skills. The goals of the program are to:

- Build research and investigative skills, including online research knowledge

Go From Bay Path Directly to Law School
Students interested in pursuing law school after graduation can apply to the unique 4+3 Program, a partnership between Bay Path University and Western New England University School of Law. This program offers students the opportunity to move on to law school at Western New England University immediately after graduation. To be eligible, students must attend Bay Path for at least 30 credit hours of undergraduate study.
